Talk with us
Call or send a message. We listen first, then answer your questions and give you a quote at no cost.
Design together
Choose the stone, shape, wording, and any artwork. We show you the layout before anything is cut.
We handle the details
We confirm cemetery requirements, then carve and prepare your memorial in our shop.
Placed with care
Installation is scheduled separately with the cemetery, and we let you know when it is complete.

Kuleana Legacy Memorial LLC purchased GLS Services, long known throughout the Hawaiian Islands as Sasaki Monuments, from Mike Sasaki when he retired. We are proud to carry on his work at the same shop on Wainaku Street and the same phone number, 808-935-5163.

We are a family-run business dedicated to helping Hawaiʻi families honor the lives of their loved ones. Together with my four sons, Harvey, Willy, Bryan, and Kainoa, we create meaningful memories with care, respect, and aloha.
For our family, this work is more than a business. It is our kuleana: a responsibility to honor life, preserve memories, and create legacies that will last for generations.
Heart & Soul Scholarship
Ari's legacy lives on.
Each year, our family honors Ari's memory through the Heart & Soul Scholarship at Mililani High School. Her adventurous spirit, love for family, and compassion for others continue to inspire the work we do at Kuleana Legacy Memorial.

What families often ask.
How much does a headstone cost?
It depends on the stone, size, and engraving. Call or send us a message and we will give you a clear, free quote with no obligation.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on the design, the stone, and the cemetery's schedule. We will give you an honest estimate when we talk, and keep you updated along the way.
Do you work with every cemetery?
We work with cemeteries around Hilo and Hawaiʻi Island. Each cemetery has its own rules about size and installation, and we help you confirm them before ordering.
Can you add a name or date to an existing monument?
In many cases, yes. We also clean and restore older memorials. Send us a photo and we will let you know what is possible.
Can I visit your shop?
Yes, by appointment. Please call 808-935-5163 so we can set aside time for you at 904 Wainaku Street, Hilo.
Can you engrave a portrait or custom artwork?
Yes. We can include portraits, symbols, cultural designs, and personal artwork. Bring a photo or an idea and we will help from there.
